RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, PROTECTION OF WATER BASES
Our company participated in investment projects to secure long-term and operating vulnerable water bases.
To take part in target programs on the protection of potable water bases, we have an accreditation issued by the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Water Management of the Hungarian Republic. The project of “diagnosing of opetrating vulnerable potable water sources in Fertőrákos and Sopronkőhida” was awarded to our company as head of a consortium. The diagnostic works were carried out from 1997 to the end of 2001. The covered water bases provide the supplying of healthy potable water to almost 100,000 people at 36,000 consumer sites, which means in total 11,900 m3/day protected water base.
We participated in significant water base protection program, safety of perspective potalbe water bases.
There was a new – similar to the above written, but separate project about the inspection of the community solid refuse disposal sites within a framework of a PHARE program tender. Our company won the construction of total 74 pcs sampling wells at 16 job sites of the Szeged-Gyula region from among the 6 regions specified within the framework of the national program. Judged the water bases protection program as important, our company established the Hydrogeology Office in Budapest in September of 2002 to coordinate and perform any related works. The professional activities of the office include geological support of drilling works, design of research drillings, making of high-level hydro geological, environmental and geological scientific reports and studies, support of continuous professional/ scientific development and their industrial application. The office is specialized in hydrogeological analyses of (fractured, karstic) aquifers, water bases at major depths in complicated geological environments, preparation of water bases protection studies (e.g. Szakoly-Balkány, Pécsvárad, Akasztó) and modeling of refill area of water bases. To model subsurface water flows, we use state-of-the-art numerical simulation software.
We focus on hydrogeological research related to utilization of renewable geothermal energy, estimation of thermal spring set, as well as design of strategies on research, production and reinjection. Space information analyses and 3D displays are added to our interpretation work in all cases.
